Where To?

I noticed in my travels over the years, it seems different regions have different personal outcomes. In my city in which I live, much of the time, it's like being invisible. Going to and fro daily, months turned to year, seldom making a real connection with the opposite sex.
To go on vacation and it's like you are wearing a magnet. It's if though, someone pinned a sign to your back - saying, "Hey, go out of your way, trying to get to know her!" Believe it or not people, that's a thing...
An older woman once told me, she had relocated from her southern city 24 years to the date of our conversation. She went on to say, after living in her new Midwest city for almost a year, a female coworker invited her to a party, She drove herself and upon arriving, she was met by a male guest, GET THIS: his ice-breaker: "What are you doing here?" Her response, "I was invited." His reply: "No, I mean in this city, this is the wrong part of the world for you. The men adorn you where you come from. Here you will dry up on the vine." The woman, oh she dismissed it- shook it off; to notice how those very words landed and became her reality.
I asked: observing your personal life drying on the vine year after year, why stay there 24 years? I'm often reminded of the chilling response. "I learned to live with it"
Where matters; Travel and whereabouts influence other elements in our lives.
Next Trip, Take Note How You're Drawing..
